Brussels 15.06.2026 A couple of hours before the hypersonic missile strike on Haifa, Israel, the EU top diplomat Kaja Kallas issued the following statement:
“The European Union is following very closely the situation in the Middle East and expresses its deepest concern at the dangerous escalation that threatens to destabilise the Middle East following Israeli strikes on Iran and Iran’s response. The EU reiterates its strong commitment to regional security, including the security of the State of Israel, and calls on all sides to abide by international law, show restraint and refrain from taking further steps which could lead to serious consequences such as potential radioactive release.
The EU is following the situation in the Middle East closely.
We call on all sides to abide by international law, show restraint and refrain from taking further steps which could lead to serious consequences.

“The EU has always been clear that Iran must never be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon and is concerned about the IAEA’s recent report based on which the IAEA Board of Governors found Iran in non-compliance with its legally binding nuclear safeguards obligations under the NPT. But lasting security is built through diplomacy, not military action.
“We believe that diplomacy must prevail. The EU will continue to contribute to all diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and to find a lasting solution to the Iranian nuclear issue which can only be through a negotiated deal”.

Reportedly Iran launched the Fateh-1 missile system over Israel, the same missile that was used by Pakistan against India.
The Islamic Republic and its incompetent and criminal leaders have dragged Iran into war.

Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of the last Iranian shah, called on Iranian military and security forces to abandon the Islamic Republic and support a national uprising, following Israel’s overnight strikes on military and nuclear sites across Iran. The appeal, posted Friday on social media, came as tensions escalated between the two countries, with reports of significant damage to Iranian infrastructure and fears of broader conflict.
“Ali Khamenei, the foolish leader of the anti-Iranian regime of the Islamic Republic, has once again embroiled Iran in a war; a war that is not between Iran and the Iranian nation, but between the Islamic Republic and Khamenei,” Pahlavi wrote. “My message to the military, law enforcement, and security forces is clear: This regime and its corrupt and incompetent leaders do not value your lives or our Iran. Separate yourself from them and join the people.”
