“This is the moment to have an honest, unfiltered debate about Europe’s future and Brussels is the place to do it,” said Frank Furedi, Executive Director of MCC Brussels. “With elections reshaping the continent, we want to give space to voices that believe in sovereignty, strong borders, free speech, and a Europe that serves its citizens not unaccountable elites.”
All across Europe, something extraordinary is happening. Ordinary citizens are standing up. Europeans are saying: enough. Enough of decline, enough of ideology, enough of being told that our sovereignty, our culture and our way of life must be sacrificed.
The MCC Brussels conference will provide guidance on the question: What comes next? What should be planned for the day after the next election victory? What are the plans, policies and proposals that patriotic movements will need to implement to take back power from Brussels and drive a new revolution in European affairs?
From remigration to taking control of the civil service or from forging a new transatlantic alliance to reviving European industry after decades of environmentalist folly – this conference brings together leading thinkers, politicians, journalists, academics and civil society voices to sketch out a program for not just taking power, but wielding it to refashion Europe.
Participants of the conference will engage with high-level keynote lectures, in-depth thematic sessions, panel discussions and strategic networking opportunities.
Topics include:
Fighting for the Soul of Europe: What Europeans Should Stand For?
Democracy Under Attack: Responding to Election Interference
Europe vs America: Is the Western Alliance Fracturing?
Patriotic Economics: Reforming a Sick Continent
Against the Language Police: Reclaiming Free Speech
