Brussels 10.04.2024 The United Nations Foundation has awarded the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, with the Champion for Global Change Award.
Sánchez hailed Spain’s international role and the commitment of all Spaniards to “peace, international justice, and cooperation.”

In a post shared on X, Sánchez said he is honored to receive the award, and perceived it not as a personal achievement but a collective acknowledgment of Spain’s values.

“We are a great country. And that is how they see us from the United Nations as well,” he wrote. The “We the Peoples Award,” associated with initiatives connected to the United Nations, celebrates leadership and contributions aligned with multilateral cooperation and sustainable global progress.
