Rutte receives congratulations as major winner of Dutch elections

France congratulates Dutch for ‘stemming’ rise of far-right: France’s foreign minister Jean-Marc Ayrault has congratulated the Dutch people for seeing off the challenge of the far-right led by Geert Wilders after Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s centre-right party appeared to win the national election on Wednesday, 15 March 2017.
