Brussels 03.04.2025 On Friday, 4 April, the EU and Japan will hold their 2nd Strategic Dialogue. The meeting will be co-chaired by High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Takeshi Iwaya.

During the meeting, the EU and Japan will discuss how to further strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in the security and defence area, as well as address ongoing challenges to the international rules-based order, and foreign policy priorities such as Russia’s illegal war of aggression against Ukraine, developments in the Indo-Pacific, and the evolving situation in the Middle East.

The Strategic Dialogue will start at 14:45 Brussels time.
