U.S. troops paid by a “wealthy gentleman”?

Brussels 15.10.2025  U.S. troops have now RECEIVED their pay this week, a War Department Official confirmed. President Trump and Sec of War Hegseth followed through! This is despite CO Dems’ efforts to BLOCK our heroes from being paid, the Colorado Republican party writes on X (Twitter) page.

In a Truth Social post on Oct. 11, Trump said he is using his authority as commander in chief to direct Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to “use all available funds to get our Troops PAID on October 15th.”

President Trump also said that  a “very wealthy gentleman” offered to pay U.S. troops’ salaries if funding ran out during the government shutdown.
Reporter: “You have the money to pay the troops…?”
Trump: “I do… I actually have a man who is a very wealthy person… A donor, a great gentleman, and he said, ‘If there’s any money necessary, shortfall, for the paying of the troops, then I will pay it,’ meaning he will pay it.”

The Trump administration is looking for alternative ways to ensure federal law enforcement officers are paid as the government shutdown enters its third week.

While the Democrats and Republicans locked in a stalemate over the shutdown, the officials in government are exploring alternative ways of paying for some key programmes, including a food programme for women and children.
Members of the U.S. military, meanwhile, will be paid using funds previously allocated to the Pentagon following an order from President Donald Trump.
Thousands of federal workers have already been laid off, with Vice-President JD Vance warning of further “painful” cuts should the shutdown continue.
