“Cooperation modalities between the armed forces of Russia and Belarus, and between the security agencies of Russia and Belarus, are constantly being improved. We are constantly prepared to use all means, including nuclear weapons, to ensure the security of the Union State,” the diplomat said.

According to Galuzin, NATO continues to build up its forces near the borders of Russia and Belarus. The Deputy Foreign Minister called such actions provocative, recalling the alliance’s military exercises near the borders.
On June 8, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is taking the necessary measures to ensure its security amid NATO exercises in Finland and Norway. The Kremlin spokesman noted that NATO military infrastructure has been moving closer to the country’s borders for several decades.

The alliance’s air force exercise, Ramstein Flag 2026, began on the same day. This is the third time they have been held. Representatives from 19 countries participated. The main stages of the exercise will take place in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Spain. NATO Allied Air Command reports that approximately 150 sorties are planned per day using more than 150 aircraft, including Boeing E-3A Sentry aircraft.
