Jordan announced the execution of 15 people convicted for terrorism and other serious crimes.

“The European Union reiterates its strong opposition to the use of the death penalty in all circumstances. This execution is a significant setback, given that Jordan had observed an informal moratorium between 2006 and 2014,” – says the statement of the European External Actions Service.
