
The entire senior level of management officials at the US State department, has resigned,makring an impressive exodus of civil servants – Clinton’s loyalists of ‘ante-Trump era’ in foreign policy.
Mr Trump’s selection for secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, was present in the department’s offices in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington DC, when the officials quit on Wednesday, the Washington Post reported.

On Wednesday afternoon, Patrick Kennedy, who served as an Assistant Secreaty of State for Administration for the Clinton Administration from 1993 to 2001. and three of his top officials resigned unexpectedly, four State Department sources confirmed. Assistant Secretary of State for Administration Joyce Anne Barr, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Michele Bond and Ambassador Gentry O. Smith, director of the Office of Foreign Missions, followed him out the door. All are career foreign service officers who have served under both Republican and Democratic administrations. The decisions lead to conclusion the State Department’s entire senior management team just resigned.
“It’s the single biggest simultaneous departure of institutional memory that anyone can remember, and that’s incredibly difficult to replicate,” said David Wade, who served as State Department chief of staff under Secretary of State John Kerry.
