Russia confirmed terrorist’s identity
Naturalized Russian from Kirghiz origin Akbarzhon Jalilov (pictured) is a Petersburg terrorist.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation confirmed that Akbarjon Jalilov, a native of the city of Osh (south of Kyrgyzstan), committed the terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro on the third of April.
“The investigation established the identity of the man who made the explosion in the subway train car in St. Petersburg.It was Akbarzhon Jalilov, born in 1995,” said Svetlana Petrenko, spokeswoman for the Russian Criminal Code (Committee) .
Forensic experts found his genetic traces also on a bag with a bomb left at the metro station “Ploshchad Vosstaniya”, which wasn’t activated.
“The conclusions of the genetic examination and the recording of the CCTV cameras give the investigation a reason to believe that it was the person who committed the act of terrorism in the car who left the bag with the explosive device at the metro station Ploshchad Vosstaniya,” – TASS Petrenko said.
